According to Hollywood Reporter, Daniel Henney will be donning the white suit in CBS’ transplant surgery pilot “Three Rivers” next to The L Word’s Katherine Moennig.

“Three Rivers,” from CBS Par, is about organ transplants as seen through three points of view: the doctors, the donors and the recipients.

Moennig will play a self-destructive lung/heart transplant fellow. Henney will play a wealthy kidney/liver/pancreas transplant specialist.

Don’t cast your hopes up though – the casting was announced for a pilot episode meaning if the big studio don’t like it, we might not even see it on TV. But all the best of luck to Daniel – with the ‘Wolverine’ movie coming out in May, it surely will help open a lot of doors for him.

Update (19.05.2009)

And rejoice! CBS did picked up the series for their fall lineup. Am actually quite excited upon finding out this news!

Update (21.05.2009)

It’s confirmed that CBS has picked up ‘Three Rivers’ in their fall line-up. The drama will fill in their 9pm slot on Sundays.

His character is describe as thus by ComingSoon.net;

Dr. David Lee (Daniel Henney), a womanizing surgical resident who’s broken as many hearts as he’s replaced.

So a downgrade? From a specialist to a resident doctor? I hope this is does not matter much.

Update (22.05.2009)

Watch a 2 and a half minute preview of the drama’s behind the scene here. Sadly Daniel was not featured in the main cast interviews but you can see him one minute into the clip. [Note: I believe the clip is only made available to viewers in the US. If you can't watch it, you can always try searching it on youtube]

Update (24.06.2009)

Get your TiVO ready – CBS has just announced, via EW, that ‘Three Rivers’ is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 4 at 9pm timeslot.

Update (30.06.2009)

Can’t watch the previous preview? Here’s an extended promo clip and in this one – Daniel has two lines!

Although, excited as I am, watching that,  it now feels like I’ve already watched the first episode. And it looks bad. Maybe because it’s blurry, but the production looks cheap.
