I’m really enjoying ‘You’re Beautiful’. Haven’t really anticipate the next episode as much as I am for this drama than Yoon Eun Hye’s ‘Coffee Prince’ and that was two years ago? Ancient times. I’m two episode behind (I am at the total mercy of WithS2 Subbing Squad) and hardly able to restrain myself from reading the recap at Dramabeans but I SHALL persevere.
Anyway, I doubt this will be a permanent feature but saw this itsy bits of inconsistencies and thought I’d share. To clarify, I will not touch the breakdown of the story (Dramabeans is doing an excellent job on that) but just the fashion part – the ones that I noticed anyway – sometimes it made me laugh so hard (at one point I had to cover my eyes – well my face) it’s quiet distracting.
If you haven’t watch the episodes/series and intend to do so – this may contain SPOILERS.
Exhibit 1:

For the uninitiated – that girl is Go Min Nyu and before signing on to A.N. Jell pretending to be her twin brother Go Mi Nam, she was an apprentice nun. Raised all her life in a church orphanage, her dream is to become a full fledged nun. Until said event and so that’s out of the window.
While there is nothing wrong with her attire – it’s her (very) high heels. She spent her growing up years in comfortable flat shoes and since she’s pretending to be a boy, she’s going around in sneakers. This is the first episode where we get a full body shot (when she’s being herself – a girl) so I’m a bit puzzle why she look mighty comfortable in shoes that she’s not (or supposedly) familiar with (or where she might get said shoes?). If it on Park Shin Hye I understand – but not on Go Mi Nyu.
Exhibit 2:

He looks great – very stylish. But not entirely appropriate when you’re one fourth of super idol group navigating Myundong shopping district and tries to stay inconspicuous. Not that his faux date will notice anyway.
And this!
Exhibit 3:

Gah! I hate glass-less frame with burning passion.
Adding this in just cos. Product placement!

Etude shop! Park Shin Hye is the brand’s current model (with Lee Min Ho). (Hah! Who wouldn’t recognize this – pass the shop a couple of times at a local mall and I only noticed it because of its bright pink)
And finally.

Maybe it’s just me and I’m jealous but if I’d definitely noticed if somebody is following me around (wouldn’t others notice too?). Especially in places where one is not familiar with.
That said – excellent episode. The whole Shin Woo following Min Nyu was potentially Twilight creepy but it was done tastefully and within context of the story so I can’t really rag on that one.
